Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at D-Home Ortigia was a delightful blend of comfort and convenience, set in the heart of the historical center of Siracusa. The owner, Roberta, greeted us warmly and ensured our every need was met throughout our stay. The room was impeccably clean, bright, and modern, with a comfortable bed that offered a restful night's sleep. The amenities, including the USB socket next to the bed and the wide range of drinks and snacks in the mini fridge, added a thoughtful touch to our experience. The efficient air-conditioning and great shower were much appreciated after a day of exploring the nearby Cala Rossa Beach and Syracuse Cathedral. One of the highlights was the charming dining room where we enjoyed a sweet Italian breakfast each morning, thanks to Roberta's attention to detail and hospitality. The location, right next to the Duomo, offered easy access to the main square while providing a quiet retreat at night.Although the apartment is located on the 3rd floor without a lift, the effort of climbing the stairs was well worth it. Roberta's tips for free parking and recommendations for local restaurants enhanced our experience, allowing us to savor delicious meals at reasonable prices. In conclusion, D-Home Ortigia is a hidden gem in Ortigia, where the blend of modern comfort and traditional charm creates a memorable stay. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a unique and authentic Italian experience in the heart of Siracusa.
